Questions
- Will it change anything in my store?
- No. The app only requests permission to read products. It has no ability to write to your catalog.
- How long does a scan take?
- A couple of minutes for most catalogs. Shopify prepares the snapshot in the background, so you can close the page.
- Does it work with large catalogs?
- Yes. Scans use Shopify's bulk operations rather than paging through products one request at a time.
- What happens when I uninstall?
- Shopify notifies us when a store removes the app, and your findings are deleted within 48 hours. No customer or order data is stored at any point, so there is none to delete.
- How soon will I know?
- Catalog Clinic checks hourly and scans once a bulk change has settled, so an overnight import is usually reported within a couple of hours of finishing. Weekly scans run whether or not anything changed.
